“Ordinary is not good enough. Normal will not change the world. We are No Ordinary People, created by No Ordinary God, for No Ordinary Purpose. I refuse to live a Beige life, carrying out Business As Usual. Boring. I choose to live an adventure as a daughter of the King of Kings. I invite you to join me! It won’t always be pretty, but it will be genuine, and we will have an impact where we live.”

Dear Amanda,
I LOVE your honesty and have been planning how to answer you on this as it's quite a 'loaded' question! I would like to engage the help of my readers as well, so we can give you a really comprehensive answer. If you're ok with that, let me know and we'll get it rolling in the next couple of weeks. I think this would be a fun interaction and bring lots of different perspectives.
Blessings,
Denise

Hey Denise
I have been thinking about homeschooling for about a year now (it is my second choice as the christian private schools are just unaffordable for a one income family) and I was wondering if you could give me the hard facts about successful homeschooling. No flower please. My husband doesn't think I can do it because of my temperment and is convinced that homeschooling is what causes premature socialization. (he is comparing 4 homeschooling families and and they are all, in fact, socially immature for their ages)
Can you give me some insight
Thanks Amanda

Good morning Stephanie!
You are so welcome and how nice to hear from you - little Clara is so blessed to have you as her mommy. You are changing the world, even today! as you embrace His plan, His purpose, His best for your household. I was reading in the Message version today in I Corinthians 1 "I'll turn coventional wisdom on its head..." So appropriate as we endeavor to be mothers who live UN-ordinary lives in our culture.
Grace and peace to you and the fam today! In His love,
Denise

Denise, thank you for this encouragement! We live on one income and things do get really tight. It's like wind in my sails to hear that it's worth it from you and women like you who have seen God's faithfulness in this area. We are just starting this journey and don't have any school-age kids and the daily grind of budget-living can really wear down my faith sometimes! Thanks for the boost!
Love Steph
