I didn’t say Sleepless (that’s Seattle stuff!), just sleeping less. OK, I’m here working in a time zone 3 HOURS AHEAD of my home town, which means if I accidentally sleep ’til 7 a.m., it’s ALREADY 10:00 a.m. here in Buffalo and my teaching sessions begin at 10:15 a.m. which means that about the time I greet my workshop attendees, most of you on the West Coast are just pouring your first cup of morning coffee and pondering your day – or looking for your eyeglasses or – for those of you amazing saints – YOU’VE ALREADY BEEN PRAYING FOR AN HOUR!
Hee haw..so to remedy this situation which has left me somewhat anxious, (yes, I know the verse…’be anxious for nothing but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God’ – so yes, I do pray but in addition, I set no less than 4 alarms the past two nights…my cell phone alarm, the hotel room alarm clock and as a back-up, I’ve ordered 2 wake-up calls at the front desk! Yes, it’s true, I have issues. Well, this is my thinking…what if I somehow set my cell phone on P.M. instead of A.M., or what if the alarm clock doesn’t go off like all alarm clocks do from time to time and what if somehow the front desk ringing system isn’t working…if I lay in bed thinking of the possibilities, I will never get to sleep – so this is my solution. Just had to share that because I have a feeling some of you are just as ’sick’ as me! P.S. Buffalo is going well – thanks for all the prayers!
