I think it’s ironic that, on one hand, so many Americans deal with infertility, while on the other hand, so many parents want all-day childcare for these ‘miracle babies.’
I would rather live in a tent than place my 5 or 6 year-old in all-day kindergarten. Forfeiting the sweetest days of childhood with our innocent, wide-eyed wonders in order to pursue a bigger paycheck will be something many, many parents regret one day.
These folks in Washington were lining up like teens at a rock concert for the privilege of dumping their youngsters for 40 hours every week. Wonder if this shot will end up in the baby book?

I am also very thankful that I can stay at home and school my boys. Thank you Denise for keeping us informed and reminding us of how blessed we are to teach at home.

Just a general comment about your blog… Oh my, oh my, oh my! If I could reach through this computer and hug you right now I would!! From one home schooler to another, may God bless you for your frankness, your devotion, and your commitment, and for presenting it to all of us so we can be edified and made to feel grateful for our post in our homeschooling life. This year, the yellow school bus looked VERY good. I really needed to find you and your candor today. I’m coming via the Totus Tuus family blog. Thanks SO much!
